The Project Manager role

Following a number of recent business wins and an expansion of our project portfolio, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our SaaS delivery team at Ito World.  

You will work as part of a Customer Success team, providing B2B services and products to enterprise level private and public sector clients. 

The Project Manager will take responsibility for overseeing the end to end service delivery, and forging strong partnerships with our clients. Your role will be to ensure their objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, to cost targets and to the appropriate quality standards.

Ito World has a flexible working culture, and this role is suitable for a remote worker. The role requires frequent client interactions and meetings, which are currently being held remotely.  More typically there is a requirement to attend meetings at our clients’ UK-based offices and Ito’s head office in Cambridge from time to time.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Head of Customer Success, the Project Manager will:

  • Project manage the end to end delivery of SaaS development and implementation projects
  • Have responsibility for full project lifecycle from project initiation and planning to delivery and project closure
  • Create and maintain all relevant project documentation
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to define and manage project execution plans and procedures
  • Input to commercial activities, including new business proposals and tender responses
  • Implement and maintain project information systems and coordinate day-to-day project activities
  • Chair and minute productive project meetings
  • Complete regular project update and performance monitoring reports
  • Communicate effectively across all internal and external (client & partner) project stakeholders
  • Identify risks, issues and dependencies. Take action to mitigate them, minimising impact on delivery
  • Design and proactively manage change control process, agreeing tolerance and escalation points

The skills and experience you’ll have

  • Proven project management experience in a SaaS environment
  • An exceptional project manager, focused on outcomes
  • Solid background of project managing complex technical and/or data projects within an agile framework
  • Experience managing multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Able to organise a complex workload, to prioritise, and manage rapidly changing demands and priorities 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proven record of establishing, building and maintaining strong, collaborative and productive relationships across teams and with clients
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Experience of providing pre-sales input and support for new opportunities
  • Proficient with project management and software tracking tools (e.g. MS Project, Asana, Jira, Confluence)

Nice to haves

  • Project management certification (Prince2, PMP)
  • Experience in client account management 
  • Experience in leading remote teams
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the UK/European public transport sector
  • Knowledge and experience of working with
